Abstract

In this project we aim to combine the exceptional sensitivity of nanowire quantum dots as detectors of charge with scanning probe capabilities of customized cantilevers. The resulting scanning nanowire quantum dot will enable imaging of localized charges and electron densities with high sensitivity, high resolution, and under a large variety of environmental circumstances.
