Abstract

Salmonella genes that are expressed in normal tissues are compared with expression patterns in tumor tissues. Candidate promoters are validated using reporter gene fusions and in vivo analysis with flow cytometry. Suitable promoters are then used to drive pro-drug converting enzyme expression in tumor-targeting Salmonella.

Keywords Infection biology, metabolism, systems biology, typhoid fever, flow cytometry
