Abstract |
Single particle 3D reconstructions are produced by combining life science methods and image analysis. To improve the resolution and automation of single particle reconstruction (SPR), we have introduced and will further develop neural-network (NN) and simulated annealing (SA) in each processing step. In this process, we will take advantage of the platform independent system IPLT on Swiss side. In this new system, we realize the huge calculation from 300,000 projections by Grid Remote Procedure Call (GridRPC), which can be implemented on Japanese side. To merge these systems as a total system, we will gather in Switzerland or Japan occasionally for streamlining our collaboration. Further, using this system in combination with stoichiometry determination using STEM techniques on Swiss side, the three dimensional structures of membrane proteins will be reconstructed. |
