Abstract

An extract library is screened for antiviral activity against HIV. Active compounds are identified via HPLC-based activity profiling and in-line and off-line spectroscopic characterization. Shortlisted molecules are analyzed for drug-likeness and further characteriezed with respect to their selectivity and putative mode of action.

The project is pursued in collaboration with the Esperanza Medicines Foundation (Chairman Prof. Alex Matter, Director Novartis Institute for Tropical Diseases, Singapore).
