Abstract |
The present cross-sectional quantitative study adapts the Family Stress Model to examine how parent’s transition stress relates to child well-being and sociocultural adjustment through multiple processes. Specifically, it aims to examine the different elements of stress experienced during international relocations and its effects on child well-being and sociocultural adjustment through parent’s psychological distress, family functioning, and couple satisfaction, and parenting (i.e., parent-child relationships and parenting efficacy). In addition, the potential buffering effects of resilient coping styles, self-care, and personality will be also be examined. |
