Abstract
This article explores the collective constitution of so-called "subcultural" groups and the role played by the political regime of enunciation in this process. I use the example of hardcore punk, a world built through the sharing of specific musical, esthetic, ideologi- cal and philosophical conventions. I be- gin with the idea that the constitution of the hardcore punk collective is based on the mediating role of "political enun- ciation" as theorized by Bruno Latour, and more specifically on the "mobiliz- ing" potential of such enunciation. In order to put this theoretical proposition to the test of empirical data, I examine several examples showing the deploy- ment of mobilizing talk, and outline its specificity in the hardcore punk world.
