The initial aims of the project were to carry out ribosome profiling in HCC and normal liver, identify targets of translational control and identify ribosome-associated proteins that may explain the change in translation of specific targets in this cancer.

The funding we have received enables us to establish ribosome footprinting from primary tissue samples, to carry out the experiments (RNA-seq, ribo-seq, proteomics), as well as all the costs associated with sample preparation and sequencing.
