Abstract |
The Standard Performance Corporation (SPEC) High-Performance Group (HPG) focuses on developing benchmarks that represent real applications in scientific computing, using industry standard programming interfaces such as OpenMP and MPI. The goal is to evaluate both, shared-memory and message-passing programming paradigms, as well as shared-memory and distributed-memory compute systems.
The High Performance Computing (HPC) group at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science (DMI) at University of Basel (www.dmi.hpc.unibas.ch) represents our university in the SPEC HPG since July 2017. Prof. Florina Ciorba is the primary representative for the visibility of Uni Basel in SPEC HPG.
The HPC Group at DMI collaborates with the SPEC HPG in an effort to develop new benchmarks that test various programming paradigms and computer architectures in a performance reproducible manner. |
