| Abstract |
Between 2007 and 2010 archaeological investigations at Shayzar in Syria were conducted by the German Archaeological Institute in cooperation with the University of Basel. The aim of the project was to investigate the history and potential of the archaeological site. The research included intensive surveys, geophysical examinations as well as a sounding to test the stratigraphy. The project was halted in 2010 by the outbreak of the Syrian War. The present project aims at the full publication of survey and excavations. |
