Taking as its starting point the history of ef fects Wirkungsgeschichte) of Ro m 13:1-7 the present article seeks to build the necessary backgrounds for the interpretation of the passage. Paul speaks of Christian behavior according to its social conformity setting as an ethical frame the love of neighbor. Though the Apostle does not develop an ethics of resistance in sor ne case s it is necessary to resist an unjust situation.
