Abstract

The scientific meeting took place at the Old University, Rheinsprung 9, Basel from 1st to 3rd february 2018. Nearly 70 researchers from 10 different countries participated in the meeting. During the three days alltogether 28 lectures (invited and free speakers) and 6 posters were presented and intensively discussed. 9 invited speakers gave a lecture (keynote or case study) and were chair of a session. Tony King gave a public lecture in the evening of the 1st feb followed by a reception and a visit of IPNA. There was a poster session with short presentations in the afternoon of feb. 2nd, afterwards the participants were relocated to the Römerstadt Augusta Raurica. After the last lectures on 3rd february a panel discussion was held by S. Valenzuela, U. Albarella, M. Groot, S. Lepetz. J. de Grossi, T. King, S. Stallibrass and S. Deschler-Erb. The proceedings will be published in cooperation with the Romano-Germanic Commission (RGK), Frankfurt, in the series "Kolloquien zur Vor- und Frühgeschichte".
