This is a valuable contribution initself, but also a stepping stone to evaluate the newly proposed (or enacted) EUrules for the digital economy1 that heavily draw on transparency considerations.Outline:This research project will look at a whole range of mechanisms in IntellectualProperty Law that try to implement more (market-) transparency. In a first step, the project will identify such mechanisms across the wholereange of Intellectual Property Rights2. In a second step, these mechanismswill be analysed with regards to their success in attaining IP specific goals, such as innovation, creation and the functioning of the market.
