Abstract |
This project aims to develop lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus-vectored vaccines against tuberculosis. Specifically the following work will be tackled:
- Generate lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV) based vaccine vectors expressing immunodominant CD8 T cell antigens identified in latently infected individuals.
- Quantify and profile immune responses to these vaccine vectors in mice.
- A combination of the most immunogenic vectors will be assessed for the impact of massive CD8 T cell immunity on Mtb control, dissemination and latency in a mouse model.
