Abstract |
Wellbeing features prominently among an ever increasing amount of literature in the social sciences on social, psychological, and economic consequences of educational outcomes. This holds true not only for the research literature but also for policy documents. As a complex construct, wellbeing can be conceptualized to include psychological, social, cultural, and economic components, including life satisfaction or happiness, health, quality of life, e.g. the congruence between objective life circumstances and their subjective evaluation, and various sociopsychological aspects.
In this project, we will conduct a systematic sociological analysis on how the multidimensional concept of wellbeing may relate to Swiss adolescents’ pathways in terms of educational and occupational success. |
