Abstract |
This project aims at a comprehensive understanding of state imageries, governance and everyday life in Guinea. The focus is on how imageries of authorities, governance and the state emerge, how they are shaped and how they influence everyday social practices of the local (female) population. The site of enquiry is the urban and peri-urban space of Kankan, a Muslim religious centre and Guinea’s second largest city. |
