Abstract
In the course of the large excavation project Vindonissa-Vision Mitte (2006 – 2009) in the western civil settlement of the roman legionary fortress of Vindonissa (Switzerland) eleven cremation graves were found. Two of these graves contain relics of couches that were partly made of curved bones. This article will present the archaeological and the archaeozoological results of the analysis of one of these burials.
