Abstract |
Dissertation Project of Rainer Nutz:
Agriculture was the main economic foundation of the Egyptian society which flourished in times of political stability as can be seen in the material culture. Concrete economic information however is very scarce. Therefore it is necessary to combine the few known elements with assumptions in order to describe the economic environment in any detail. Assumptions may be based on information for a different time period or other areas, especially Near East. Some assumptions will obviously be of hypothetic nature. The influences of the different elements are to be modeled in order to lead to a consistent interpretation and to allow sensitivity analysis of these elements. This analysis will identify assumptions and estimates leading to plausible results which are sufficiently stable in terms of variations of parameters. Obviously the result will not describe how it was but how it might have been. |
