Abstract

This project is supported under the Roche Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. It focuses on applying cryo-transmission electron microscopy to study the molecular mechanisms of the development of brain pathology in Parkinson's disease.

In the frame of this project, we will prepare and represent brain cell tissues for microscopic investigations., and study these by frontier electron microscopy methods, including high-pressure freezing, cryo-sectioning, and 3D reconstruction of vitrified specimens by cryo-electron tomography imaging and 3D computer structure analysis.
