The project focuses on how abiotic habitat template and biotic inteactions influence community composition and diversity in running waters. Beside taxonomy-based approaches, special attention is paid on functional properties of communities, including functional composition and functional diversity. We also invsetigate the effect of invasive species on the native biodiversity.
