Abstract

We are studying the structure, duplication and function of the centrosome, the major microtubule organizing center of animal cells. In particular, we are interested in the regulation of PLK4 and its role in centrosome/centriole duplication as well as the function of other centrosomal proteins. We are also exploring mechanisms underlying centriole biogenesis and the formation of cilia.
